Advertise Heads Premier Group Double on Day 4 of Royal Ascot

A superb performance from Advertise in the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup took the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale’s Royal Ascot winning tally to three following Daahyeh’s win in the Gr.3 Albany Stakes in today’s opening race and A’Ali’s Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes victory yesterday.

The Martyn Meade trained and Phoenix Thoroughbreds owned ADVERTISE won the Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes as a 2YO last season and led home another Goffs graduate in today’s Gr.1 feature, Forever In Dreams, who is raced by the Phoenix Ladies Syndicate and was sold at Monday’s Goffs London Sale in Association with QIPCO. Advertise is the second Doncaster yearling to win the Commonwealth Cup since its inception in 2015 with Quiet Reflection taking the race in 2016.

Advertise, a son of Showcasing, was sold at the 2017 Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale by Jamie Railton Sales Agency to Dermot Farrington for £60,000.

Smart 2YO DAAHYEH made it a 2YO Royal Ascot Group double for the Premier Sale with victory in the Group 3 Albany Stakes for trainer Roger Varian and owner H H SH Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The daughter of Bated Breath raced into favouritism following her debut win over the subsequent Queen Mary winner Raffle Prize and she looks a smart prospect for the future.

Daahyeh was purchased by Oliver St Lawrence from Oakgrove Stud at the 2018 Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale for £75,000.
