Aintree Sale Graduate Lisnagar Oscar Heads Four Gr.2 Wins for Goffs UK

Goffs UK graduates enjoyed a huge three days on the track ahead of the Cheltenham Festival with four Grade 2 winners; Aintree graduate LISNAGAR OSCAR, reigning Grand National winner TIGER ROLL and Spring Store graduates MISTER MALARKY and QUEENOHEARTS.

LISNAGAR OSCAR (pictured) signalled his intent for the Cheltenham Festival’s Gr.1 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle with an eye-catching performance in the Gr.2 Albert Bartlett Prestige Novices' Hurdle at Haydock on Saturday. The win was his second over hurdles for his trainer Rebecca Curtis who purchased the 6YO from Lisnagar Stables for £105,000 at the Aintree Sale.

Reigning Randox Health Grand National winner TIGER ROLL stormed into favouritism to defend his crown in April off the back of a dominant display in yesterday’s Gr.2 Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle at Navan for Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown House Stud. The 9YO will now head to the Cross Country at Cheltenham where he will be racing for a remarkable fourth Festival win. Tiger Roll was purchased by Nigel Hawke from Darley at the Doncaster August Sale for £10,000.

The Doncaster Spring Store Sale enjoyed a Gr.2 double courtesy of MISTER MALARKY and QUEENOHEARTS. Mister Malarky showed he’s a horse with a bright future when winning Saturday’s Gr.2 Sodexo Reynoldstown Novices' Chase at Ascot, sparking his trainer Colin Tizzard to consider options for the Cheltenham Festival. Queenohearts was another to frank her Cheltenham bid with a smart victory in Friday’s Gr.2 Weatherbys TBA Jane Seymour Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Sandown for trainer Stuart Edmunds.
