Fiddlerontheroof the Aintree Sale’s Fourth Gr.1 Winner

Today’s impressive Sandown Gr.1 Unibet Tolworth Novices' Hurdle winner FIDDLERONTHEROOF became the Goffs UK Aintree Sale’s fourth Gr.1 winner from just four sales – joining Black Op, Samcro and Topofthegame in an impressive list of top end graduates. 

The Colin Tizzard trained and Taylor, Burley & O'Dwyer owned Fiddlerontheroof claimed his second win over hurdles in the Gr.1 feature from just four starts and shapes as an exciting prospect for the Cheltenham Festival for which he holds multiple Gr.1 entries. He will be hoping to emulate fellow Goffs UK graduate Summerville Boy who won the Tolworth in 2018 before claiming Gr.1 glory at the Festival for Tom George and Roger Brookhouse.

The six-year-old was sold by Timmy Hyde’s Camas Park Stud to Doyle Bloodstock and Colin Tizzard for £200,000 at last year’s Goffs UK Aintree Sale. Camas Park have two potential stars entered in the up-coming Doncaster January Sale, the impressive bumper winner Keskonrisk who won on debut at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day and winning Irish Pointer Vanillier who turned heads with his smart victory at Dromahane on 30 December.

Fiddlerontheroof was one of two winners today at Sandown for the inform Aintree Sale with upcoming chaser Locker Room Talk winning his second start over fences for trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies and owner Carl Hinchy.
