Five Reasons to Nominate Your Stars for the 2020 Doncaster Breeze Up Sale

2019 was undoubtedly one of the most successful years in the history of the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale at Doncaster and below are just five reasons why consignors should be nominating their star 2YOs for this high performing sale in 2020.

1. Royal Ascot winners attract buyers. A’ALI became the sale’s sixth Royal Ascot winner since 2010 with victory in June’s Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes. He is the sale’s second winner of the race in four years with Prince Of Lir winning in 2016 – the year the sale produced four Royal Ascot winners.

2. Record £450,000 top price. 2019 set a new sale record with the Siyouni filly, AL RAYA, selling to Stroud Coleman for £450,000 – proving headline prices can be made at this sale. She franked her price with a smart victory in the Gr.3 Prix d'Arenberg.

3. A big rise in sale figures. April’s sale saw the average grow 16% to a new record of £45,750. The sale has progressed significantly in recent years with the average growing by 71% since 2010.

4. A Classic winning sale again. The sale celebrated another classic winner with RED CACTUS winning the Swedish Derby. Every horse is nominated for the €1,000,000 Swedish Derby and Oaks Series and Scandinavian buyers target this sale. In 2019 they purchased 10 horses up to £130,000 and their investment is growing every year.

5. Seven stakes winners & a Derby winner. This is a sale that consistently produces top racehorses and 2019 has seen the sale produce some smart performers headlined by A’ALI who has claimed three Gr.2 races, as well as Group winners AL RAYA, KENZAI WARRIOR and STREAMLINE.
