Premier Graduate Advertise Wins His Third Group 1

Top sprinter ADVERTISE, who graces the front cover of this year’s Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale catalogue, claimed his third success at the highest-level yesterday with victory in the Gr.1 Larc Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville.

The Martyn Meade trained colt won Royal Ascot’s Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup earlier in the season and produced a fine effort under jockey Frankie Dettori to hold off Brando who won the race in 2017. Meade has not confirmed the 3YO’s next start but options include the Gr.1 Sprint Cup at Haydock and the Gr.1 De La Foret on Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe day.

The son of Showcasing is raced by Phoenix Thoroughbreds and was purchased by Dermot Farrington from Jamie Railton Sales Agency at the 2017 Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale at Doncaster for £60,000.

The Goffs UK Silver Sale continued its fine season on the track yesterday with smart sprinter MAJOR JUMBO running away to impressively land the Listed Queensferry Stakes at Chester for trainer Kevin Ryan. The Doncaster Silver Sale has now produced Stakes winners in four countries this season thus far; America, Hong Kong, Ireland and the UK, with graduates headed by the Wesley Ward trained and Katsumi Yoshida owned Gr.2 winner The Mackem Bullet.

The son of Zebedee was purchased by Hillen & Ryan from Wells Stud at the 2015 Goffs UK Silver Sale at Doncaster for £37,000. The 2019 Premier Sale will see Grove Stud offer a Territories half-brother to Major Jumbo at Lot 354.
