Siblings to Classic & Group 1 Winners Headline World Class Orby Catalogue

Orby yearlings tasted top level victory on the international stage again this year, headed by graduates such as Lucky Vega, the brilliant winner of the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes for Jessie Harrington and Yulong Investments, Raging Bull who is now a multiple Grade 1 winner in the US for Peter Brant and Chad Brown, and Mike De Kock’s Queen Supreme who recorded Group 1 success in South Africa.

The latest black type Orby winner came yesterday at York’s Ebor meeting as Gear Up took the Group 3 Acomb Stakes for Mark Johnston who purchased him at Goffs last year.

Commenting on the Orby Sale catalogue, Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

"Every year many of the best bred and best-looking yearlings in Ireland are selected by their breeders, and pinhookers, to be offered at Orby.  And every year a global audience descends on Goffs to attend the sale at which some of the highest prices are achieved for yearlings anywhere.  The follow up is that so many of those yearlings go on to top class success around the globe, as we have seen again throughout the past year.

Of course, 2020 is unlike any other with an ever changing landscape caused by Covid-19. However we are indebted to every vendor for the trust they have placed in our service once again and for maintaining their support of the Orby with drafts of outstanding global appeal.  The team at Goffs and our network of superb international agents have taken great heart from one constant that has remained; the quality of the Orby catalogue.  This year the attending crowd may not be as big but Goffs Online will allow owners to engage with the sale from afar having consulted their agent on the ground. As in so many ways Goffs will ensure the best service possible to all our clients, wherever they may be or under whatever circumstances they find themselves”.
