P2P.ie Review: Like her half-brother, the 140-rated hurdler The Skyfarmer, Shabba Dada Do made her competitive debut between the flags, where she was one of 13 runners to face the starter at Loughanmore, a course with a strong reputation for producing smart performers. The only newcomer in the line-up, she belied her inexperience, as whilst no match for Meep Meep Mag, she was one of three horses that flashed past the post for the second, third and fourth places, with the trio pulling 10 lengths clear of the remainder of their rivals. Unsurprisingly given that encouraging debut, the daughter of Jeremy was sent off as the favourite when re-appearing at Kinsale on the final weekend of the season. After being left in front after the second-last fence, she showed some signs of her inexperience which undoubtedly proved costly, handed the advantage to her conqueror, ensuring she could well be considered an unlucky looser on this occasion.
