P2P.ie Review: Having seemed quite unfortunate not to have made a winning debut at Loughrea in the spring when slipping-up whilst seemingly travelling best on the home bend, Pistol Whipped was unsurprisingly sent off as a warm odds-on favourite for his return to action at the same Co. Galway venue earlier this month. The Beneficial gelding held every chance straightening up to the final fence, only finding a promising newcomer one rival too good. Once his chance was gone with that horse on the run-in, he was not pushed out all the way to the line yet still finished within two lengths in second showing how close he is to a maiden success at present, with further improvement expected.
