If you’re looking for a Royal Ascot winner, you needn’t look further than the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale at Doncaster which has produced a remarkable seven Royal Ascot winners in seven years, and the 2023 catalogue is now online.

This astonishing Royal record is an impressive feat for any leading sale anywhere in the world, and the fact that it comes from an auction that sells under 200 horses a year makes it all the more impressive. This continued, world-class performance, is casting a growing spotlight on the Doncaster Breeze Up Sale for its ability to produce elite horses on the world stage and its growing international following.

In a commanding display last year, Doncaster breezers celebrated a Royal Ascot double, with BRADSELL winning the time-honoured Gr.2 Coventry Stakes and PERFECT POWER the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup. Perfect Power’s victory also made it back-to-back wins at Royal Ascot having taken the Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes in 2021, a race in which the sale has sold three of the last seven winners.

This year’s catalogue features 209 2YOs by many of Europe’s leading sires and some of the highlights include:

  • Lot 2, a Too Darn Hot half-brother to the Gr.2 winner ALJAMAAHEER.
  • 3, a Dark Angel half-sister to the Gr.2 winner SOVEREIGN DEBT.
  • 27, a Wootton Bassett colt out of a half-sister to the Gr.1 winner SPINNING QUEEN.
  • 47, a Showcasing colt out of the Gr.3 winner MY LEA.
  • 55, a Kingman colt out of the Gr.3 winning mare ONE LAST DANCE.
  • 74, a No Nay Never filly out of the Gr.3 winner REALTRA.
  • 132, an Invincible Spirit colt out of the Stakes winner AMERICAN FROLIC.
  • 136, a Night Of Thunder colt out of the Gr.2 winner ANTHEM ALEXANDER.
  • 152, a Lope de Vega colt out of a half-sister to the Gr.1 winner RAVEN’S PASS.
  • 154, a Sea The Stars colt who is a close relation to the L. winner and Gr.2 placed NIGHT OF LIGHT.
  • 169, a Dubawi filly out of a Frankel mare and from the family of Gr.1 winners DARYAKANA & DARIYAN.
