P2P.ie Review: Finisk River was running a big race when coming to grief on his debut at Borris and clearly showed no ill effects for this experience when reappearing at Dromahane three weeks later to finish a fine second, only beaten a head. Having been ridden in mid division on this occasion, the grey son of Red Rocks caught the eye travelling very strongly into the contest down the back. He threw down a strong challenge on the run to the last, rallying all the way to the line and getting to within a head of the winner, with the pair pulling ten lengths clear of the third horse. Pat Crowley’ gelding lost little in defeat here and could progress to be a decent performer under rules.
