PTP Review: Following an introduction to point-to-pointing when pulling up at Loughanmore in County Antrim, this four-year-old was shipped from Harley Dunne’s stable to Chris Barber in Dorset. Making his British debut in an eight-runner, three-mile maiden race at Holnicote in Somerset he went on at half-way and led his rivals into the home straight. A more experienced five-year-old then nipped up his inner, led to the final fence and went three lengths clear, but this horse rallied gamely and clawed the deficit back to a length at the line. Six lengths behind was an older mare who had finished a good third on her previous start. It was a fine effort by this horse considering he had shipped from Ireland and only been with his current trainer for just over two weeks, and he is another who can pay his way in time.
